The Leonardo Prizes have been presented to the laureates at a ceremony held in Rome at the Quirinal Palace, the official residence of the President of the Italian Republic, on last April 27th.
The 8 laureates received their awards from the hands of the head of state of Italy, President Sergio Mattarella, in the presence of the Deputy Minister for Economic Development, Carlo Calenda, together with the chair of Leonardo Prize Committee, Luisa Todini and of the President of the Italian Trade Agency - ICE, Riccardo Monti.
The Leonardo Prizes are awarded to Italian or foreign individuals who contributed significantly to encouraging and promoting Italy's image in the world. The Prize was first awarded in 1994 to Ferrari.
