The European Commission launches the SME support program to apply the Due Diligence in the minerals and metals supply chains
On the 20 of November 2020, the European Commission launched the online portal Due diligence ready!, an initiative to support SMEs in the responsible sourcing of minerals and metals
This tool enable is aiming to support SMEs working within these sectors to get ready for to respond to the obligations stated by the (EU) Regulation 2017/821.
The Regulation establishes the regulatory requirements that will apply, from 1 January 2021, to EU importers of tin, tantalum, tungsten and gold, originating in conflict-affected or high-risk areas.
